Ingredients:
Cake
- ½ cup shortening
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon soda in one cup buttermilk
- 1 ½ cups flour
- 1 square chocolate melted
- 4 tablespoons maraschino cherry juice
- ½ cup maraschino cherries chopped
- 1/2 cup nuts chopped
Frosting
- 1 cup granulated sugar
- ¼ cup cocoa
- ¼ cup milk
- ¼ cup shortening
Instructions:
- For frosting, bring to boil and let boil for one minute. Add flavoring be it vanilla or rum. Beat until thick.
